What really did it for me was the elimination of Schedule C on Deluxe edition. What is "deluxe" about it? I've experienced the poor decisions of this company while upgrading Quicken, but this is the last straw. Does anyone know if TaxCut will import information from previous forms made in TurboTax? And the last three years, in particular, I have watched the program slide continually downhill. To be sure, it is still a competent tax preparation program, and the EasyStep Interview process continues to work well, but all of the program's personality and nice little extra touches are gone. The annual disk used to include great reference works on tax law -- no longer there (the online "Media Center" has nothing in it but the standard IRS Publications, which are also available online frome the IRS). The program used to start with a welcome video highlighting changes for the new tax years, and included a series of videos explaining tax topics and concepts by tax experts -- all gone. I used to feel like I was interacting with the program -- now I'm just using it. The cross-selling and promotion of extra services, and other versions of the software you've just bought, has also become ridiculous. I have used TurboTax to prepare my taxes every year since 1994.
